Rebecca Vacano the founder of Platinum announces her mid year results today.
"Vacano said - 2009 has been a challenging year within Second Life - There have been a number of changes made by Linden Lab, including homestead rules and tier changes, advertising guidelines, adult content and camping.
Despite these changes, Platinum at Platinum World has continued to grow - we have launched new product lines and most recently built our team of talented employees to support and help our customers. It continues to be our belief that shopping in Second Life is supposed to be an experience as opposed to just a transaction, by providing a high touch service to all our customers sets us aside from our competitors.
It is this service and product quality that enables Platinum to continue to grow its customer base and we are looking forward to this continuing going in to the final two quarters of the year"

She is perhaps the most known for creating Platinum at the Platinum World sim, one of Second Life's most popular and visited sims.
